The religious persecution against children and youth is characterized as being isolating, identity-shaping and harsh. Childhood and adolescence does not provide a shield against pressure and discrimination. Age can, in fact, heighten vulnerability. With research that builds on last year’s preliminary findings, this report shines a light on the unique stories and experiences of children and youth around the world, both those who have a personal Christian faith as well as those merely associated with Christianity. It seeks to deepen understanding of religious persecution across generations and the impact this has on the wider church.
